Our All-American Weekend

I can only be talking about... the 4th of July!

We had such a great 4 day holiday weekend. This time of year is literally one of my favorites. First of all, it is a summer holiday which usually allows for time off of work. Secondly, we usually get to spend the weekend with the awesome people in our lives, how neat is that? I am not lying when I say it was an all-american weekend, we literallly participated in most of the traditional American summer activities in our little stay-cation.

Here we go, we started off the weekend on Thursday night at the Buck's game. We hope to get to a few more games this year, a trip to the ballpark is really a great way to shake up our work week. Check out the Buck's schedule and get out there for a game! Next to feed our competitive spirits, we played our 9:30 p.m. sand volleyball game, that's right eat your heart out nightowls.

The next day, Ryan went for an early golf round with his buddies and met me and my friends (and co-workers, I am lucky that they are all cool) at Lost Island. Yep, it sure was hot. Yep, we sure did burn our little tootsies on the cement. Yep, we sure had a lot of fun (and only broke a few rules). We enjoyed dinner and cocktails that night at our new favorite pizzeria, Tony's. Man, I could go for another one of these weekends.

Saturday we went to Graham Verbraken's 2nd Birthday Party. They rented a huge inflatable jumper where Ryan and the kids played. We ended up grilling out and hanging there for the night for some adult time while the kids enjoyed the fireworks downtown.

Sunday, after our 3-yr olds Sunday School class, we went to the Fergusons' for pool party #1. Then we went to our friend Matt's place up the street for pool party #2. We ended up having our own fireworks show with some fireworks imported from Missouri.

Monday, we went golfing with the Shaws', and then went to brunch for Grandma Bouck's birthday. Ryan hit up the Buck's baseball game with some friends and we enjoyed the Sunnyside fireworks from Stein's backyard. Yes, it was a jam-packed weekend but we loved it.
