Turkey Day was a very good day. We spent the afternoon at my parents' with my Grandpa (Grandma was ill), Uncle Brian and Aunt Shirlee, cousins Ben (Carrie was ill) and their boys, and nephew Ian, Adrian and Stacey. Turkey, fixins, and apple cider were all delicious, and the kids wore us out.
Right before I reached naptime, it was time to pack up and move out. We were off to the Bohlen's for an evening of more turkey and fellowship. It was great to see Uncle Ken and Aunt Sandy from AZ, cousins Charlie and Manda from Minny with their new baby Asher, as well as the local crew of the Reed's and Bohlen's. We still found room in our bellies for turkey, pumpkin bread, and dessert. Football and board games followed. All in all, a good day.
The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxing. Ashley decorated the house and I finished on some outdoor work. We still found time to see friends back in town, watch the Hawks lose, do a little Karaoke and partake in an alumni hockey game. Phew. Now we prepare for snow, Christmas shopping, Durnil's Thanksgiving this weekend and hanging indoors with our pup. Each year we have to reintroduce him to the lovely white stuff #shorttermmemory, poor guy!
